Last Thursday 14th February, Mrs.<br />
Susana Montes (Head of Spanish<br />
Studies) and Miss Mailo de Dios<br />
(Spanish Second language<br />
Teacher), were the guests on the<br />
“De Buena Mañana” breakfast<br />
show on Manilva TV.<br />
They spoke about the Spanish<br />
provision at <strong>Laude</strong> and about the 3<br />
different lines of study available<br />
for our students.<br />
Spanish as a Second language: for<br />
students following the British<br />
Curriculum and for whom Spanish<br />
as a Second Language is a<br />
compulsory subject.<br />
Spanish First Language (lengua)<br />
and “Conocimiento del medio or<br />
Ciencias Sociales”: for students<br />
who are following the LOE<br />
programme from Year 1 to Year<br />
11, in order to obtain the<br />
convalidation of the ESO<br />
programme.<br />
Students following the ESO &<br />
Bachillerato (Spanish A-level)<br />
attend classes taught in Spanish,<br />
with the exception of the more<br />
“practical” subjects such as PE,<br />
