This half-day workshop has been developed for BWY teachers to
explore equality and diversity in the context of teaching yoga, and
carries 3 CPD points. We will look at:
• What equality and diversity language means and why it is important
• Identifying barriers to participation in yoga amongst certain minority
groups
• How to provide solutions to barriers to participation
• Equality law and its relevance to yoga teachers
• How to challenge inequitable behavior and be more inclusive
As well as enhancing your own knowledge and understanding of these
important issues, there will be the opportunity, via group work and
discussion, for you to share your own knowledge and experience.
