IST Day
22 September 2013
The Millennium Centre
RH17 7PG
10:00 – 16:00
BWY members £25;
non-members £40
Organiser:
Rachel Claridge
This day will be a mix of practice, discussion and looking at
two very relevant yoga texts. Participants will explore some
ancient ideas which are still very useful today for ourselves
and our students; experience short practices and discuss
how they could be incorporated into the scheme of a
general yoga class; and gain some ideas of how to
incorporate the day’s ideas into their lives and teaching.
Sarah is a teacher, trainer and therapist in the tradition
of Krishnamacharya. She also teaches Vedic chant and
mantra. She was a Diploma Course Tutor for the British
Wheel of Yoga and a Chair of its Education Committee for
three years. She is co-founder of Yoga Journey, a course
for yoga teachers who want to study, practise and teach in
the tradition of Desikachar and his father,
Krishnamacharya.
Please bring your favourite copy of the Bhagavad Gita
and the Yoga Sutras.
Congress 2013: Yoga for health and wellbeing
As this issue of NSE went to
press there were just over 60
places remaining for this
year’s Congress, which will
take place on 22-24 March at
Warwick University.
Congress provides an
opportunity to meet yogis
from other regions as well as
catching up with friends from
the South East. It’s a fantastic
way to try working with a
range of different tutors, bringing new insights to bear on your yoga practice.
Full details of the programme may be found on the website: www.bwy.org.uk
