Join Bob on a journey of fun as we together learn how
to add spice to familiar asanas and discover how we can
approach a more unusual asana.
The aims of the day are to introduce variations of
commonly taught asana; to encourage students to listen
to, feel, and observe their bodies in challenging
variations; to introduce asana that is seldom taught; and
to teach the value of moving out of our individual comfort
zone.
If you enjoy a more physical practice this day will be
more suited to you, whether as a teacher or a regular
yoga practitioner.
Back by popular demand, Andrea shares innovative ways
of planning yoga classes.
The aims of this day are to introduce why a theme
throughout an entire yoga class is important; to lead a
physical session including a theme; to lead a practice
exploring ideas of themes and their links to philosophical
texts; and to oversee group work in the session. Attendees
will work on developing themes and feed back their
observations.
Andrea trained as a professional dancer and worked
extensively around the world where her interest in yoga
and eastern philosophy began. She is a DCT for the
BWY. Andrea completed her Advanced certification in
Jivamukti yoga in New York in 2005 with Sharon Gannon
and David Life. She is also certified to teach Yin yoga
after studying with Sarah Powers since 2003, and is a
Restorative yoga teacher under the guidance of Judith
Hanson Lasater.
