Section 3. Sunday Work<br />

(a) All hours worked on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double<br />

straight time with a minimum guarantee of eight (8) hours work<br />

or pay, except as provided below.<br />

(b) All hours worked on Sunday before 8:00 p.m., shall be paid at<br />

the rate of double straight time <strong>and</strong> all hours worked after 8:00 p.m.<br />

on Sunday shall be paid at the straight time hourly rate. If such<br />

employee works in excess of eight (8) hours, he shall be paid one<br />

<strong>and</strong> one-half (1-1/2) times the hourly rate for such hours in excess<br />

of eight (8).<br />

(c) An employee assigned to work seven (7) consecutive tours of<br />

duty in a workweek shall be compensated at double the rate set forth<br />

for the particular classification of the employee in question for the<br />

seventh day worked in the workweek.<br />

Section 4.<br />

(a) Local work shall be defined as picking up <strong>and</strong> delivering of merch<strong>and</strong>ise<br />

by regular units. Such drivers may also take out straight<br />

loads <strong>and</strong> unload such unit, reload the same unit <strong>and</strong> bring it back<br />

to the terminal.<br />

(b) The Union agrees that the Employer may leave a trailer or trailers<br />

at the place of business of a shipper or consignee without such<br />

trailer(s) being covered by a local employee on any day the<br />

Employer has offered work opportunity to eighty-five percent<br />

(85%) of those employees who are available for work <strong>and</strong> who were<br />

on the Company’s seniority list as of April 1, 1979.<br />

Nothing contained in this Article shall limit the Employer’s right to<br />

drop a trailer or trailers at a shipper or consignee without coverage.<br />

(c) When an Employer spots a body during the day time at the place<br />

of business of a shipper or consignee, driver or helper shall cover for<br />

the balance of the day, or fraction thereof, while the body is being<br />

loaded or unloaded. When more than one (1) body is spotted, one<br />

(1) man may cover, provided, however, that this Section shall not<br />
