Silka chamfered blocks are suitable for use in load-bearing and non loadbearing
wall structures in single and double-sided fair-face masonry.
Silka chamfered blocks are available in formats that can be laid manually
and mechanically. The blocks are extremely dimensionally stable and therefore
ideal for use with thin joint mortars. The specific qualities of calcium
silicate, like sound insulation, high load bearing capacity and thermal mass,
accompany the blocks’ building qualities for free.
Simple and fast processing
Silka chamfered blocks have a tongue
and a groove to help process
them with ease and speed. Their
dimensions are moduled for glued
joints. Chamfered blocks can be
left ‘fairfaced’ thanks to their very
smooth face, but can also easily be
painted to enhance the appearance
of the wall.
Suited for conduits and pipes
Silka chamfered blocks are available
in either solid or void format.
The voided Silka chamfered blocks
have a defined drill-hole pattern
so that two holes align vertically.
Afterwards, conduits and pipes
for water-based heating or cooling
systems fit perfectly into those
holes. Drill holes, e.g. for electrical
boxes, can be formed with
a drill bit at the location of the
vertical holes.
Fixation with ease
Walls made of Silka chamfered
blocks are suitable not only for
hanging picture frames, but for
Silka chamfered blocks can be left
‘fairfaced’ or may be painted.

screws for anchoring.
