Irritant contactdermatitis is due to a combinationof the wetness, alkalinity andabrasive nature of the constituentmaterials. Allergic contactdermatitis is caused mainly by thesensitivity of an individual’s skin tochromium VI.Eyes: irritant and may burn eyetissue. Ingestion: contact withsaliva may cause alkali burns tolips and mouth.
