Cuvee Jehan Humblot<br />
Jehan Humblot wished to help the sick and<br />
donated his entire estate to the Hospital in<br />
1600. This particular Meursault cuvee has<br />
been sold through the Auction now for over<br />
400 years. It’s very difficult for many wines<br />
to be competitors such as that. All the vines<br />
here pre-date 1974, indeed some date back<br />
to 1936 and 1953.<br />

Hospices de Beaune<br />
Cuvee Baudot<br />
Felix Baudot, born 1796, was a great collector<br />
of paintings, stained glass, antique stela,<br />
archaeological finds, manuscripts and autographs.<br />
These objects were sold by public<br />
auction in Beaune in 1882, all proceeds<br />
coming to the Hospice de la Charité.<br />
This Cuvée comes in equal parts from<br />
Genevrières dessous and dessus. The vines are all fully mature or ancient.<br />
The youngest (23% of the cuvée) date from 1979, all the others being<br />
older - from 1944, 1948, 1956 and 1964.<br />
