Flow Simulation and Optimal Management of Groundwater Resources… 307
selection of the most suitable computational tools to optimize management of groundwater
resources is an optimization problem per se.
This paper offers some ideas on simplification of groundwater flow and mass transport
models, useful mainly in the frame of optimization processes, which invite further research.
