TANGIPAHOA PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM _____ MARCH <strong>19</strong>, <strong>2013</strong><br />

4. It was moved by Mr. Duncan, seconded by Ms. Cohea, to approve seeking<br />

quotes for re-roofing the Hammond High Magnet School Cafeteria/Dining Area.<br />

Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />

5. It was moved by Mr. Duncan, seconded by Ms. Bailey-Simmons, to approve the<br />

purchase of a presentation system which includes a PA system, projector,<br />

screen and podium for Hammond Westside Elementary Montessori School’s<br />

multipurpose room from Howard Technology Solutions in the amount of<br />

$9,994.00 to be paid from Pay-As-You-Go Funds. Hearing no objection, the<br />

motion was adopted.<br />

6. It was moved by Ms. Bailey-Simmons, seconded by Ms. Cohea, to approve the<br />

purchase of two (2) LEGO Mindstorm’s NXT with Tetrix software kits for<br />

Hammond High Magnet School Engineering classes and related LEGO<br />

Mindstorm’s NSX with Tetrix site licenses in the amount of $21,187.85 to be<br />

paid from Pay-As-You-Go Funds. Hearing no objection, the motion was<br />

adopted.<br />

INDEPENDENCE DELEGATION – MARCH 12, <strong>2013</strong>:<br />

1. Mr. Anderson was selected Delegation Chairman of year <strong>2013</strong>.<br />

2. It was moved by Mr. Link, seconded by Ms. Cohea, to seek Court approval for<br />

Independence High School Cafeteria/Dining Area renovations and re-roof<br />

repairs. Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />

3. It was moved by Ms. Smith, seconded by Mr. Link, to seek quotes to replace<br />

the roof on the Independence High School Science Annex at an estimated cost<br />

of $90,720.00 to be paid from Roof Funds. Hearing no objection, the motion<br />

was adopted.<br />

LORANGER DELEGATION – MARCH 12, <strong>2013</strong>:<br />

1. It was moved by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Ms. Pittman-McDaniel, to approve<br />

purchasing ten (10) Virco tables for Loranger High School’s health classroom<br />

from Virco, Inc. in the amount of $727.40 to be paid from Pay-As-You-Go<br />

Funds. Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />

2. It was moved by Ms. Pittman-McDaniel, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve<br />

purchasing a Smartboard for Loranger High School’s classroom teacher from<br />

Detel Computer Solutions in the amount of $4,279.23 to be paid from Pay-As-<br />

You-Go Funds. Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />

3. It was moved by Ms. Cohea, seconded by Ms. Pittman-McDaniel, to approve<br />

low bid for the Loranger High School Gymnasium New Metal Retrofit Roof<br />

Project by Ray Bros. in the amount of $134,877.00 to be paid from the Roofing<br />

Fund. Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />

4. It was moved by Ms. Pittman-McDaniel, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve<br />

low quote for the Loranger Elementary School Cafeteria New Metal Retrofit<br />

Roof Project by Ivy Industries, LLC in the amount of $66,298.00 to be paid from<br />

the Roofing Fund. Hearing no objection, the motion was adopted.<br />
