Submersible Pumps
The difference between the submersible pumps and the all-purpose
pumps is obvious at first glance, as no separate suction hose or suction
basket are needed on the submersible pumps.
Submersed in the liquid to be pumped, the submersible pump can
be operated either upright or on its side. Thanks to the series flatsuction
device, the liquid can be pumped off down to a remaining
depth of only 5 mm. And when we claim that the submersible
pumps are also exceptionally robust, we can prove it — their special
sliding-ring seal makes them completely safe to run dry. This type
of seal makes it possible to dispense with an oil-chamber. Unlike
other makes of pump, then, there is no need to check or change the
oil here. Yet more safety and reliability is provided by the plasticembedded
motor winding. If the fluid being pumped should penetrate
the motor compartment, no danger and no great damage results.
One very important fact is that not only the cable but also the entire
pump is designed to be oil-proof. And because e.g. floods do not
always choose to happen in places where there are 3-phase AC
connection sockets, our model T 6 L runs on 230 V AC, i.e. is quite happy
with a normal household plug socket. Furthermore, because building sites
and disaster clean-up sites are not always noted for the cleanness of the
water found on them, the pumps have been designed in such a way that
— depending on the model — solids of up to 20 mm diameter will neither
block nor damage the pump. If the pump should run dry for a time, this
does not matter to it either. The particular advantage of this pump lies in
its extremely low weight in comparison with its exceptionally high power.
A novel electronic rotation-direction controller prevents the larger submersible
pumps rotating in the wrong direction. This does away with the need
for checking the direction of rotation and for switching over or reconnecting
the supply lead.
In addition, the electronic system is equipped with temperature sensors for
monitoring the motor.
In the event of a phase failure, under voltage or over temperature, the
electronic system switches off the pump automatically. As soon as the
operating conditions have returned to normal, it automatically switches it
back on again.
