2. Review your bond breakage assignments in 1a.-g. and suggest some guidelines for<br />
predicting sites of breakage and ion masses in the mass spectra of any given compound.<br />
Application:<br />
a. Use your guidelines developed above to help you predict the masses of major peaks that you<br />
would expect in the mass spectrum of each of the following structures. For each predicted<br />
peak, explain what data and logic led you to the prediction.<br />
