Handling<br />
Manual Release of the Magnetic Wheel Locks<br />
The wheelchair is fitted with a <strong>manual</strong><br />
brake release on each drivewheel that<br />
can be released to make it possible<br />
to move the wheelchair <strong>manual</strong>ly. The<br />
brake release levers are located at the<br />
front of the wheelchair.<br />
Release the wheel locks<br />
1. Shut off the wheelchair using the<br />
start button on the control panel.<br />
2. Move the levers outwards to release<br />
the brakes. The chair can now be<br />
moved <strong>manual</strong>ly.<br />

Engage the wheel locks<br />
Move the lever inwards so that it<br />
assumes in its innermost position.<br />
Always check that the release levera<br />
goes right to its most inner position.<br />
m WARNING!<br />
Do not engage or disengage the wheel locks<br />
unless power to the chair is off.<br />
In order to avoid the wheelchair rolling away,<br />
ensure that the wheelchair is on a level and dry<br />
surface before releasing the wheel locks.<br />
Be aware that the chair will not have brakes<br />
when the wheel locks are in the free-wheel<br />
position.<br />
Make sure that the person pushing the chair<br />
has full control when the wheel locks are disengaged.<br />
Always reset the wheel lock release after<br />
<strong>manual</strong>ly moving the wheelchair.<br />

m CAUTION!<br />
When the wheel locks are released, the chair<br />
will not drive. If it does, contact an Authorized<br />
Permobil service center as soon as possible.<br />
