They generated 43 comments in total. S 9% of respondents said Newry needs free car parking other than at the shopping centres. A further 1% said more free parking is needed out of the city centre as well and increase the number of disabled spaces throughout. A further 1% said in particular Lower Hill Street, The Mall and Mary Street need immediate attention 4% said lorries off-loading is a major problem, 2% of which suggest banning HGV’s in the centre 3% suggest revising the sequencing of traffic lights at peak times. B. Community Questionnaires 1.0 Questionnaires were mailed to Community and Voluntary Groups in the five catchment areas as part of the Masterplans that will be fed into the forthcoming Banbridge/Newry & Mourne Area Plan 2015. 188 questionnaires were mailed to groups in Newry. 28 responses were recorded. 2.0 Questions 1-4 retrieved contact details from each of the 28 Community and Voluntary Groups that returned questionnaires from Newry.
