<strong>Scholarship</strong> Description: The fund will be used to provide a scholarship program for qualified Chicago area youth and will be<br />

administered by Junior Achievement.<br />

<strong>Scholarship</strong> Qualifications: Applicants for the Henry Crown <strong>Scholarship</strong> must have participated in a Junior Achievement high school<br />

program and be recommended by their teacher and/or business volunteer. Applicants must have had an average of 3.0 on a scale of<br />

4.0 or better, beginning in their sophomore year in high school, and shall furnish a complete, signed transcript of past and current high<br />

school class work.<br />

• SAT, ACT or PSAT college entrance exams shall be included, if available<br />

• A letter of recommendation from the principal, counselor or teacher of the school he/she attended is<br />

required.<br />

• Applicants should submit a personal essay, enumerating his/her reasons for desiring to continue their<br />

education, along with a short biography including extracurricular activities, community service, and how<br />

involvement with Junior Achievement has affected their life. Applicants will be selected on an objective<br />

and non-discriminatory basis.<br />

• Applications should, if possible, include evidence of acceptance or tentative acceptance at an institution<br />

of higher learning of their choice.<br />
