rainy Scotland, the Giver of all good things condescended to give<br />

my downcast heart the courage to believe that he does care for his<br />

own.<br />

Attitudes<br />

Many mission-minded believers see fundraising as the<br />

number one obstacle to becoming a missionary. However, the<br />

support-raising phase of mission service is in itself a vital part of<br />

our ministry. Other Christians want to be closely involved in what<br />

God is doing in other cultures. So allowing them to supply part of<br />

our missionary income gives them a vital role.<br />

Although funding may not be a popular discussion point in the<br />

typical mission presentation, it’s definitely an important topic for<br />

aspiring missionaries and their families. Let’s think through some<br />

of these finance-related questions so we can understand how God<br />

helps overcome fundraising obstacles in our journey into missions.<br />
