Over a challenging three years, the pastor, his entire congregation, tourists from California, churches from other regions, and three expert bricklayers erected a beautiful center of worship. The fulfillment of this dream offers all aspiring missionaries the principles by which our ministries can be funded: Vision attracts resources. Sacrifice inspires others to participate. Perseverance gives God time to work on our behalf. This simple reminder of God’s provision compels us—as does the psalmist’s repetition of the Hebrew term selah—to “pause and meditate.” My Thoughts So Far As you trust that God will provide for his ministry, think back through this chapter’s key questions.
