not quite “until death do we part,” though it may feel that way<br />

at times. That’s why we take the time before joining to thoroughly<br />

research an agency.<br />

If your home church is part of a denomination, discuss with<br />

church and mission leaders whether your denomination’s mission<br />

department may be a match for you.<br />

If your denominational mission department is not a fit for<br />

you, ask your church leaders for a list of sending agencies they<br />

would recommend that you research.<br />

Whether you look inside your denomination or at a nondenominational<br />

mission agency, ask the penetrating and enlightening<br />

questions given in this section. <strong>The</strong>n discuss your findings, both<br />

positive and negative, with a leader in your local church.<br />
