1. Last meeting: No report from any subcommittees. All subcommittees instructed to provide
these lists by 31 October 2001.
2. This meeting: All committees making progress in producing clinician lists and selection
procedures.
C. Progress report on grandfathering rules for NTIC for the new teachers’ curriculum (Nishioka).
1. Last meeting: No report. NTIC instructed to provide this by 31 October 2001.
2. This meeting: DC Chair submitted proposal for USJF BOD. The NTIS voted unanimously to
support this proposal.
D. Progress report on USJI Coaches Conference (Nishioka).
1. This meeting: Nishioka gave a verbal report on the conference. He was asked to provide the
report in writing.
E. Adhoc committee on National championships for juniors in various countries, modified rules for local
and regional junior competition, and weight cutting (Mitsuoka).
1. See attached report. It was MSP to recommend to the BOD that the recommendations be
considered for inclusion in future jr. national contracts.
F. Reports from Yudanshakais for allocated activities Fiscal 2000-01. no report.
G. Concussion Flyer.
1. Last and this meeting: Still waiting for the revision of this document from the chairman of the
USJF Medical Committee.

1. Done, printed, and distributed.
I. Committee listing of members.
1. Last meeting: No reports received from any subcommittee, with the exception of the Kata
Subcommittee. All subcommittees instructed to provide this information by 31 October
2001. Kata subcommittee instructed to provide the list electronically.
2. This meeting: Committee lists have been forwarded to me by the president.
J. Annual awards recommendations – type, criteria, and selection procedures.
1. Last meeting: No report given by Kata, Teachers, Referees, or Sr. Development. All
subcommittees instructed to provide these recommendations by 31 October 2001.
2. This meeting: DC Chair submitted proposals for USJF BOD. With the exception of changes
in some award names under JYDS jurisdiction, it was MSP unanimously to recommend
approval of these awards.
K. Judogi distribution program at USJF Jr. Nationals. Discussed earlier.
V. New Business
A. Presentations and Q/A by Yudanshakai representatives for budget requests for FY 2002-2003
a. Representatives of Central Coast, Chicago, Nanka, 50 th State, Chuka, Daiheigen,
Intermountain, Konan, and Northwest were invited to make short presentations of their YDK’s
2002-2003 requests, and answer questions from committee members.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 pm.
The meeting was reconvened at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 April 2002.
