Life Membership Committee – Thomas Sheehan LIFE MEMBER COMMITTEE Annual Report We received 59 new life members during our fiscal year September 1, 2001 to August 31, 2002. This has brought in $13,212.00 to the Endowment fund. The previous year we had a great year with 62 new members. We didn’t achieve this year’s goal of 65, but we were close in getting near what we did last year. I am asking each Yudanshakai delegate to push the benefits of being a life member in his/her Yudanshakai. With the help of the Yudanshakai President and other officials in the Yudanshakai, we can top our high of 62 new members in a year. We have come a long way in increasing our life membership. We hope that we can continue receiving support of our life membership program. This program helps support the other programs in the U.S.J.F. Our awards for most new members in a Yudanshakai go to: 1 st Place Shufu Judo Yudanshakai 2 nd Place Konan Judo Yudanshakai 3 rd Place 50 th State Judo Association Our awards for the most new members in a Club go to: 1 st Place Western Idaho Judo Institute 2 nd Place (tie) Kona Hongwanji Judo Club Saito Dojo 3 rd Place (tie) Arlington Judo Club Twin Falls-CSI Judo Club Respectfully Submitted Tom Sheehan, Chairman Life Membership Committee Page 44 of 48
Merchandise Committee – Michele Burleson MERCHANDISE COMMITTEE REPORT Program Coordinator: Michele Burleson Date of Program: Sept. 1, 2001 to Aug. 31, 2002 Location of Program: Various locations around the U.S. and via internet Description of Activity: Create and sell USJF Merchandise with Judo In Mind at various tournament locations around the US and through the USJF Internet website. Attended Northern California and Southern California tournaments, along with the USA JUDO High School and Collegiate National Championships, and the USJF Junior National Championships. USJF Budget: $1500 We have developed the following new items for the 2002 Jr National Championships: Key chains Picture frames 3 new tee shirt designs Pens with dojo names on them Bumper stickers Pencil boxes Merchandise Commiteee Budget Report Sept. 1, 2001 to Aug. 31, 2002 Expenses Income 2002 USA JUDO HS & COLL CHAMPS Lodging: $ 136.05 $ 1,500.00 USJF Vendor Fee $ 125.00 $ 458.00 Outside vendor sale commission 2002 USJF JR NATIONALS $ 184.00 USJF Jr National Commission from sales Lodging & misc expenses $ 401.71 2002 Website hosting fees $ 306.95 2002 merchandise purchased: $ 428.05 Misc expenses: office/postage $ 102.24 TOTAL EXPENSES $ 1,500.00 $ 2,142.00 However, I am holding approximately $ 2,000.00 in inventory, that has not been paid for by USJF $ 3,500.00 $ (2,142.00) $ 1,358.00 Page 45 of 48
