Team 1 Our student of the month for October is Kierra Diaz. Kierra is being recognized because she stays on task, completes her assignments, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to her fellow students. FantasXc job Kierra! In math class, students will become familiar with both posiXve and negaXve integers learning to add, subtract, mulXply and divide them. Parents/Guardians, please conXnue to expect homework every Monday through Thursday. In social studies, the students are learning about the great civilizaXons of the past. We will be focusing on Egypt for the next two to three weeks. Team 2 Team 2 would like to recognize Jeleniel Lorenzo Hernandez as the male student of the month. Jeleniel conXnues to make a great impression on his teachers by going above and beyond expectaXons in class. He is a criXcal thinker who strives to do his best work. Jeleniel is an asset to our team because he is respecrul and works well with others. Ismar Franqui Segarra is the female student of the month for team 2. Ismar shows excellent behavior in the hallways and classroom at all Xmes. She is inquisiXve and always asks thoughrul quesXons to promote discussion in class. Ismar is a well-‐rounded student who parXcipates in several acXviXes at school, such as chorus and orchestra. Great job Team 2 students! Team 3 Team 3 would like to recognize Natalia Melendez-‐Rodriguez and Joseph Persaud as students of the month. These role models are being recognized for their hard work and showing dedicaXon in school. Natalia’s favorite part of school is Reading Edge and music. She parXcipates in the yearbook commijee, orchestra, and chorus. When Natalia is not in school she enjoys to play outside, read, and help her siblings complete homework. The one thing she would like people to know about her is she is from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Joseph’s favorite subject in school is science. Joseph enjoys playing handball and even parXcipates in handball tournaments. If he could travel anywhere, he would want to travel to Florida and visit Disney World.
Team 3 (con;nued) Team 3 social studies students recently completed Stone Age Projects. Projects included Stone Age tools, jewelry and dioramas. I want to thank all the students and parents for their parXcipaXon in this project. CongratulaXons to Carly Davis for the most creaXve use of materials in compleXng a bow and arrow. Outstanding projects were also completed by Jacob Marderness, Violet Campbell and Marc Roman. KUDDOS to all students for their parXcipaXon in this project. Team 4 Team 4’s outstanding students for the month of November are Devin Turner and Alicia Gingrich. Devin is a criXcal thinker and hard worker. He acXvely parXcipates in class and is a model student and ciXzen at LMS. Devin is also a parXcipant of 21st century. Alicia Gingrich is a model ciXzen, always helping peers and is kind to all. She has a good work ethic and produces work she and her teachers are proud of each day! Great job Team 4 students of the month! Team 5 Madison LucioZ is Team 5’s Star Student for November. She posses outstanding academic abiliXes and posiXve peer relaXons among her classmates. Madison was also a member of the undefeated girls volleyball team this fall. Her ability to work well in groups, and parXcipate in daily lessons makes it a pleasure to have her in classes. CongratulaXons Madison for a job well done to start off this school year. We are lucky to have you as a leader and academic role model on team 5. Team 6 Team 6 would like to congratulate Jacynda Shuey as student of the month! Jacynda is an outstanding student and leader in the classroom. Jacynda is a member of the Junior High Field Hockey team. She is friendly to all her peers and teachers and is always willing to help others. Team 6 would also like to congratulate Joshua Kauffman as student of the month! Josh is a conscienXous student and is a tremendous asset to Team 6. Josh is involved in football, basketball and baseball. When he is not playing sports, he likes to fish, skateboard and bike. Josh is not only an outstanding student, but he is always willing to help others.
