STUDENT COUNCIL MONTHLY UPDATE Students Council members gathered for their first meeting on October 25 th . LMS 2012-2013 STUDENT COUNCIL In late September, Mr. Dermes and Mrs. Richards selected students to represent the student body for the 2012-2013 school year. Students were asked to complete applications to become part of LMS Student Council. Mr. Dermes and Mrs. Richards selected thirty superior students, portraying leadership qualities in the school and community. Every Thursday morning these students meet to discuss upcoming school events and important issues at LMS. The most recent discussions have been regarding the box-top fundraiser and upcoming events, including, the food can drive and the winter dance. Do you have an issue or suggestion you would like to address? Stop a student council representative to have your voice heard! CITY OF LEBANON’S ELM STREET PROGRAM If you live between North 12 th and North 7 th Street and Maple Street and the railroad tracks, you are part of the City of <strong>Lebanon</strong>’s Elm Street Program also known as the “North Side Neighborhood”. Please join us at the upcoming neighborhood events: November 4 th – Neighborhood Clean-up - We will meet at the mini-park on the corner of North 9 th and Mifflin Streets at 2:00 p.m. We will provide gloves and bags. Please come and help to clean your neighborhood. November 17 th – Fall Festival at El Faro Church - The church is located on the corner of North 10 th and Church Streets. The event will be from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and there will be games, prizes and snacks. There will also be 5 turkeys and all the fixings given away at the event. December 6 th – Annual Neighborhood Tree Lighting and Decorating - The event will be at the minipark on the corner of North 9 th and Mifflin Streets and will begin at 6:00 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, music and a visit from Santa. December 13 th – Neighborhood Holiday Party and Caroling - The party will be held at the Pathfinder Building located at 410 North 9 th Street and the event will start at 6:00 p.m. There will be crafts, a movie, food and a visit from Santa. At 7:00 p.m. we will go caroling throughout the neighborhood.
