• <strong>The</strong> chart above shows that the majority of events recorded on the primary calendar at work are<br />

not work‐related appointments but medical‐ related appointments (69 percent). This is a clear<br />

sign of the times where lines of demarcations of work and home blur. With so many of the<br />

employed relying on long commutes, it is necessary to keep this personal aspect of our lives also<br />

noted on calendars at work.<br />

• 67 percent record professional appointments at work as appropriate.<br />

• 59 percent keep track of work functions and family events on primary calendars at work.<br />

• 53 percent keep track of family events on their work calendar.<br />

We looked at the “other” specified comments and a review of those revealed that the thrust of<br />

these comments centered on the following:<br />

1. To‐do lists<br />

2. Vacations<br />

3. Bill due dates<br />

4. Employee vacation dates<br />

5. Lunch appointments<br />

6. Travel dates<br />

7. Performance schedules for employees<br />

8. Important deadlines<br />

9. Important work related data<br />

10. Hair and nail appointments<br />

11. Pet‐related data<br />

12. Due dates for bills<br />

13. Time off<br />

14. Work Log<br />

15. Expenses<br />

16. Report and service dates<br />

17. Pet reminders, related info. etc<br />
