Dear Neighbors,<br />
Like you, I’m still recovering from<br />
the hectic holiday season. It’s<br />
such a wonderful time of year,<br />
and while it is go, go, go, I cherish<br />
every moment of the season,<br />
especially those with my family.<br />
The Poks have many holiday<br />
traditions—precious moments with<br />
our grandchildren and fellowship<br />
with dear friends. One of my<br />
favorite traditions is our “Conner<br />
Christmas.” It’s that time each<br />
December when all of my<br />
dad’s side of the family gathers<br />
to celebrate.<br />
Sadly, for the past 8 years, we’ve<br />
gathered without Dad—we lost<br />
him to a heart attack. Growing<br />
up as a farmer’s daughter, I knew<br />
my Dad as nothing short of hardworking<br />
and industrious! His<br />
death took our family by surprise.<br />
That’s how it is with life. No one<br />
expects bad things to happen – and<br />
we pray they never do – but we<br />
owe it to ourselves and our loved<br />
ones to leave instructions to follow<br />
in our absence. We don’t want our<br />
loved ones, during a state of grief<br />
and upheaval, to take on the added<br />
burden of trying to figure out<br />
our wishes.<br />

Interactive poll, 57% of Americans<br />
don’t have a will. Are you one<br />
of them? If so, now would be a<br />
perfect time to prepare an estate<br />
plan. I encourage you to contact<br />
