Pacific sanddab otolith elemental signatures The variability in the concentration of individual elements in sanddab otoliths differed between habitat types and geographic areas. Univariate two-way ANOVA model (habitat x geographic area) showed that Ba Ca -1 and Fe Ca -1 differed between platforms and natural sites; and Ba Ca -1 Mg Ca -1 , Sr Ca -1 , Mn Ca -1 , Cu Ca -1 differed among geographic areas (Table 6).
