FRANCE<br />

<strong>2008</strong> New London 10 year O&M 50,000, water & wastewater<br />

New London is in Connecticut. The contract will manage the sewerage services for 14,000 customers<br />

and water services for 6,000 customers with total revenues of EUR37million.<br />

2007 Milwaukee 10 year O&M 1.1million, wastewater<br />

Awarded in December 2007, the EUR272million contract covers the management of the regional liquid<br />

waste management network of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and management of the production of<br />

Milorganite, fertiliser granules produced by the drying of residual mud from the waste water purification<br />

plant.<br />

2007 Tampa Bay 16 year DBO <strong>Water</strong> treatment<br />

A USD158million contract to expand the regional water treatment plant in Florida from 272,500m 3 per<br />

day to 454,200m 3 per day, which will enter service in 2010. VE will operate the facility for 13 years<br />

from then.<br />

2006 NY State 7 year DBO Wastewater treatment<br />

A USD45million contract for the 1.5million gal/day (7,000m 3 /day) facility serving Rockland County.<br />

2005 Gresham, Oregon 7 year O&M 106,000 wastewater treatment<br />

The contract is worth USD21million and involves handling 20million gal/day of effluent.<br />

2004 Richmond, CA 18 year O&M wastewater treatment<br />

The contract is worth EUR50million.<br />

2004 Virgin Islands 20 year BOT 75,000 wastewater treatment<br />

Two 18,000m 3 /day wastewater treatment facilities are to be constructed at St. Croix and St Thomas.<br />

Both facilities are expected to enter service at the end of 2006, generating revenues of USD126million<br />

throughout their contracts. There is also a five year renewal option.<br />

2002 Indianapolis, IA 20 year O&M 800,000 water treatment<br />

At USD1.5billion, it is the largest PPP in the United States’ history. The system produces an average<br />

of 138million gal/day for residents in the city and within a 25 mile radius around the city.<br />

2002 Atlanta, GA 10 year O&M Manage city-wide biosolids system<br />

USD200million agreement to produce and market 100 dry tonnes/day of biosolids. VWNA is the<br />

leading biosolids services supplier in the U.S, serving 130 different communities. The contract was<br />

terminated by Atlanta in 2006.<br />

Canada<br />

Veolia <strong>Water</strong> Canada (VW Canada) is a subsidiary of VWNA. Its activities draw from the USF<br />

operations and, since 1976, VW Canada has gained 22 municipal O&M contracts. With the exception<br />

of Moncton (New Brunswick) all identified contracts are in Ontario.<br />

2006 Brockton Five years, O&M 10,000, water & wastewater<br />

The contract announced in July 2006 involves the management of three water treatment plants with a<br />

capacity of 2.29mg/day and one wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 1.98mg/day. Revenues<br />

will be USD0.47million pa.<br />

1997 Haldimand/Norfolk O&M 200,000, wastewater<br />
