REQUIRED MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT

E-1. GENERAL. The following materials and equipment are required for the operation of
a licensing office. These are the only materials authorized for training and licensing of
operators. Table E-1 lists the minimum required forms to be maintained by the licensing
office.
E-2. DRIVER'S SKILL AND ROAD TESTING. Skills and road testing described in
Chapter 4 requires the following equipment:
a. Thirty-two stanchions. Tall enough to be visible in a tractor-trailer rearview
mirror.
b. One loading dock or equivalent mock-up. Four to six additional stanchions may
be needed as mock-up.
E-3. WRITTEN TESTS. Written tests to support the testing of drivers will be provided by
the Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and the Marine Corps Detachment,
Goodfellow Air Force Base, TX. This will allow centralized distribution and standardization of
testing materials. Only licensing officers and issuing officials are authorized to request the tests
from the addresses listed below:

E-4 VISION TESTING EQUIPMENT. If the processing Licensing Office does not
have access to a Naval hospital or have the equipment available, the Issuing Office should
purchase the materials required via their supply system.
