<strong>FEI</strong> <strong>CANADA</strong> <strong>2011</strong> <strong>ANNUAL</strong> <strong>REPORT</strong><br />
<strong>FEI</strong> Canada’s Annual National Conference,<br />
the grand finale to our calendar of events,<br />
was held this year in Ottawa. The Conference<br />
committee, chaired by Louis O’Brien, presented<br />
one of our most successful annual conferences<br />
ever – both financially and according<br />
to the satisfaction ratings assessed by our<br />
425 attendees. This year’s conference used<br />
a mobile conference application, which allowed<br />
delegates to get live updates and alerts at<br />
the conference as well as plan their schedule,<br />
participate in social network feeds, view<br />
maps and floor plans and read exhibitor<br />
information.<br />
We received the following feedback from<br />
members who attended the conference:<br />
• Good mix of forward-looking and<br />
technical sessions.<br />
• There were many lessons that are<br />
applicable or will be applied.<br />
• I am looking forward to using the information<br />
I received at the “Evolving Role of<br />
the CFO” session.<br />
• Terry Matthews is a fantastic speaker<br />
and hearing from him again on a different<br />
topic would be more than welcome.<br />
• I really enjoyed round tables with best<br />
business practices.<br />
• Great gala concept, very effective for<br />
networking, great food and wine. Congratulations<br />
to your team for thinking of<br />
this and pulling it off so nicely. The jazz<br />
band was a nice finale.<br />
