the Great Cookie Dunk – a world-record setting<br />

event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation<br />

of Vermont. The fun happens at 1 pm, May 12,<br />

approximately 5:30 p.m. The sky comes ablaze<br />

with fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. Check<br />

Cardboard Box Parade<br />

City Hall Park FREE!<br />

Pick your favorite story <strong>and</strong> decorate yourself, a<br />

cardboard box or anything you want <strong>and</strong> join the<br />

fun! Youths 3-12 are invited to participate. Meet<br />

at the Unitarian Church at the top of Church<br />

Street for parade line up at 1:00P. The parade<br />

ends at Contois Auditorium. Awards <strong>and</strong> live<br />

entertainment will be provided for all participants<br />

after the parade in Contois Auditorium.<br />

tennis tournament<br />

The Official Waterfront Tennis Tournament is for<br />

<strong>Burlington</strong>? Is your Siamese cat exquisitely<br />

groomed? Do you think your snake is the<br />

scariest animal you’ve ever seen? The Children’s<br />

Pet Show wants you <strong>and</strong> your beloved pet. We<br />

will have great prizes <strong>and</strong> snacks. This annual<br />

event is open to children up to 15 years of age.<br />

No insects please! Dogs, cats <strong>and</strong> other active<br />

animals must be leashed! Children may enter<br />

pets in up to three of the following categories;<br />

longest ears, cutest dog, largest animal, smallest<br />

animal, hairiest pet, most gorgeous cat, craziest<br />

tail, best costumed pet <strong>and</strong> owner, cutest<br />

rodent, scariest pet, most talented pet, <strong>and</strong><br />

most unusual aquatic. Registration begins at<br />

6:00 p.m. for the show starting at 6:30 p.m.<br />
