lesson skaters as well as skaters from the
Champlain Valley Skating Club, the Vermont
Children’s Theatre On Ice, the adult theatre
troupe On Thin Ice and the Ice Crystals
Synchronized Skating Team.

Participate in the parade for free. Join us for
art exhibits, performances, booths and other
activities all celebrating our youngest citizens!
Kids of all ages can participate. Resigter for the

the Great Cookie Dunk – a world-record setting
event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation
of Vermont. The fun happens at 1 pm, May 12,
2012 at Burlington’s Battery Park as part of
the Kids Day festivities. For further information

This years theme is 1812. Activities begin at
approximately 5:30 p.m. The sky comes ablaze
with fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. Check
local papers, radio stations, television and
our website for a detailed schedule of events.

Cardboard Box Parade

City Hall Park FREE!
Pick your favorite story and decorate yourself, a
cardboard box or anything you want and join the
fun! Youths 3-12 are invited to participate. Meet
at the Unitarian Church at the top of Church
Street for parade line up at 1:00P. The parade
ends at Contois Auditorium. Awards and live
entertainment will be provided for all participants
after the parade in Contois Auditorium.
Burlington Waterfront
tennis tournament

The Official Waterfront Tennis Tournament is for
adults. Register by calling Damon Fitch of the
Sports and Fitness Edge on Farrell Street at
658-0001.Tournament begins Thursday evening,
July 5 and concludes on Sunday, July 8.

Is your cocker spaniel the cutest puppy in
Burlington? Is your Siamese cat exquisitely
groomed? Do you think your snake is the
scariest animal you’ve ever seen? The Children’s
Pet Show wants you and your beloved pet. We
will have great prizes and snacks. This annual
event is open to children up to 15 years of age.
No insects please! Dogs, cats and other active
animals must be leashed! Children may enter
pets in up to three of the following categories;
longest ears, cutest dog, largest animal, smallest
animal, hairiest pet, most gorgeous cat, craziest
tail, best costumed pet and owner, cutest
rodent, scariest pet, most talented pet, and
most unusual aquatic. Registration begins at
6:00 p.m. for the show starting at 6:30 p.m.

Join this exciting company of professional actors
as they present their fifth season of Shakespeare
in the Park. Vermont Shakespeare Company
has been lauded as “the best Shakespeare
