Community Boathouse
The Burlington Community Boathouse and
Marina is open from May 15th through October
15th. The Marina is staffed 24 hours per day,
with Dockmasters on duty from 7:00A – 11:00P.
Security remains on duty throughout the night.
The Marina offers multiple public docking
options:
•40 transient overnight slips; 8 hourly slips
• 51 fixed transient moorings in the Harbor.
• Public Docking Rates are as follows:
Docks | Hourly: First hour FREE, $5 per hour
thereafter. Overnight: $1.75 per foot of vessel
Moorings | Hourly: FREE until 5:00P Daily
Overnight: 75¢ per foot of vessel
Dock your boat and stay for lunch at Splash
Café. Don’t have a boat? Not a problem! Come
on down to our Sunset Dock, pack a picnic
and watch the sunset in one of our Adirondack
chairs. Watch the Dockmasters bring in boats,
large and small, and prepare to be impressed
by their rope-throwing skills!
If you want to get out on the water, the
Boathouse offers multiple ways for a quick
escape from the normal day-to-day routine.
Whether you prefer motorboats or sailboats,
either big or small, we have captains ready and
waiting to take you out.
Come on down, leave your land-side worries
behind, and join us at the epicenter of
Burlington’s Waterfront!

Waterfront Park
Splash! at the Boathouse
Splash! is the café on the lower level of the
Boathouse. The Wakefield Room, on the upper
level of the Boathouse, is an ideal location
for meetings, receptions and parties and is
available for rental year-round.

Festival site
The festival site on the shores of Lake
Champlain is available for a host of activities,
private meetings, conferences, concerts,
weddings festivals and exhibits.
Producers of events or persons interested
in renting the site can pick up an application
packet at the Burlington Parks and
Recreation Offices at 645 Pine Street, Suite
B, or you can download an application from
our website, www.enjoyburlington.com.
You can also call our office at 865-7247 to
request a form.
reservations
Park properties and facilities are available to the
public on a first-come, first-served basis. Some
areas including picnic shelters may be reserved
for special events and groups.

information.
Waterfront shelter
The lakefront shelter adjacent to the Coast
Guard building can be reserved for full and half
day use from May 12 –Sept. 3. The shelter
accommodates 50 to 60 people, for your use,
with free parking nearby. For information call
865-7247.
season Park Pass
Season passes may be purchased at North
Beach, Oakledge Park and Perkins Pier when
gate attendants are on duty. Season passes
allow unlimited admittance to all Burlington
parks except Waterfront Park without the need
to pay a daily parking fee. (Park admission is
always free if you come by foot, bike or other
non-motorized transportation). Season passes
are $45 for Burlington residents, $60 for
nonresidents and $25 for students. Season

passes are not for business parking purposes.
Burlington residents with limited incomes may
apply for a discounted season pass in person
with recent proof of income for all household
members and active car registration at the
Burlington Parks and Recreation Office. Call

Perkins Pier
Located at the foot of Maple Street, Perkins
Pier is a popular destination for boaters
and sightseers. Saturday, May 12 -Sunday,
September 3, $6 per vehicle daily parking ($8
for non-residents, residency is determined
by car registration) when a gate attendant is
on duty; boat trailer season passes may be
purchased for $30. Gate attendant on duty
weekdays 7:30A -9:00P.
skate Park
Plans for the construction of a replacement
skatepark are underway and included
as a component of the Waterfront North
Redevelopment, currently in development.

North Beach
North Beach is located at the end of Institute
Road off North Avenue, just past Burlington
High School and right off the Burlington
Bikepath. Saturday, May 12 -Monday, Sept 3:
$6 per vehicle daily parking ($8 for nonresidents,
residency is determined by car registration)
between 9:30A and 8P. Lifeguard coverage
June 16 -August 19 and weekends until Labor
Day depending on the weather. There is a
playground located at the north end of the park,
adjacent to the beach. The picnic shelter is also
available for reservation for private and group
functions. No amplified music allowed, $225 full
day 9A-9P or $160 half day 9A-3P or 3P-9P.

Ethan Allen Park
Located at the intersection of North Avenue
and Ethan Allen Parkway, this wooded, hillside
park offers a playground, paved walking/
biking/hiking trails, scenic views from both the
Pinnacle and the Ethan Allen Tower. A bridge
across Rte. 127 connects the park to the bike
path leading to the Ethan Allen Homestead and
the Intervale. The Ethan Allen Tower is open
on weekends from Mother’s Day to Memorial
Day, from 9:00A through sunset, from Memorial
Day to Labor Day it is all days of the week from
9:00A to sunset; from Labor Day to Columbus
Day it is open Saturdays and Sundays until
sunset. (Tower may be closed due to inclement
weather).
