Community Boathouse<br />
The <strong>Burlington</strong> Community Boathouse <strong>and</strong><br />
Marina is open from May 15th through October<br />
15th. The Marina is staffed 24 hours per day,<br />
with Dockmasters on duty from 7:00A – 11:00P.<br />
Security remains on duty throughout the night.<br />
The Marina offers multiple public docking<br />
options:<br />
•40 transient overnight slips; 8 hourly slips<br />
• 51 fixed transient moorings in the Harbor.<br />
• Public Docking Rates are as follows:<br />
Docks | Hourly: First hour FREE, $5 per hour<br />
thereafter. Overnight: $1.75 per foot of vessel<br />
Moorings | Hourly: FREE until 5:00P Daily<br />
Overnight: 75¢ per foot of vessel<br />
Dock your boat <strong>and</strong> stay for lunch at Splash<br />
Café. Don’t have a boat? Not a problem! Come<br />
on down to our Sunset Dock, pack a picnic<br />
<strong>and</strong> watch the sunset in one of our Adirondack<br />
chairs. Watch the Dockmasters bring in boats,<br />
large <strong>and</strong> small, <strong>and</strong> prepare to be impressed<br />
by their rope-throwing skills!<br />
If you want to get out on the water, the<br />
Boathouse offers multiple ways for a quick<br />
escape from the normal day-to-day routine.<br />
Whether you prefer motorboats or sailboats,<br />
either big or small, we have captains ready <strong>and</strong><br />
waiting to take you out.<br />
Come on down, leave your l<strong>and</strong>-side worries<br />
behind, <strong>and</strong> join us at the epicenter of<br />
<strong>Burlington</strong>’s Waterfront!<br />

Waterfront Park<br />
Splash! at the Boathouse<br />
Splash! is the café on the lower level of the<br />
Boathouse. The Wakefield Room, on the upper<br />
level of the Boathouse, is an ideal location<br />
for meetings, receptions <strong>and</strong> parties <strong>and</strong> is<br />
available for rental year-round.<br />

Festival site<br />
The festival site on the shores of Lake<br />
Champlain is available for a host of activities,<br />
private meetings, conferences, concerts,<br />
weddings festivals <strong>and</strong> exhibits.<br />
Producers of events or persons interested<br />
in renting the site can pick up an application<br />
packet at the <strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>Recreation</strong> Offices at 645 Pine Street, Suite<br />
B, or you can download an application from<br />
our website, www.enjoyburlington.com.<br />
You can also call our office at 865-7247 to<br />
request a form.<br />
reservations<br />
Park properties <strong>and</strong> facilities are available to the<br />
public on a first-come, first-served basis. Some<br />
areas including picnic shelters may be reserved<br />
for special events <strong>and</strong> groups.<br />

Waterfront shelter<br />
The lakefront shelter adjacent to the Coast<br />
Guard building can be reserved for full <strong>and</strong> half<br />
day use from May 12 –Sept. 3. The shelter<br />
accommodates 50 to 60 people, for your use,<br />
with free parking nearby. For information call<br />
865-7247.<br />
season Park Pass<br />
Season passes may be purchased at North<br />
Beach, Oakledge Park <strong>and</strong> Perkins Pier when<br />
gate attendants are on duty. Season passes<br />
allow unlimited admittance to all <strong>Burlington</strong><br />
parks except Waterfront Park without the need<br />
to pay a daily parking fee. (Park admission is<br />
always free if you come by foot, bike or other<br />
non-motorized transportation). Season passes<br />
are $45 for <strong>Burlington</strong> residents, $60 for<br />
nonresidents <strong>and</strong> $25 for students. Season<br />

passes are not for business parking purposes.<br />
<strong>Burlington</strong> residents with limited incomes may<br />
apply for a discounted season pass in person<br />
with recent proof of income for all household<br />
members <strong>and</strong> active car registration at the<br />
<strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Recreation</strong> Office. Call<br />

Perkins Pier<br />
Located at the foot of Maple Street, Perkins<br />
Pier is a popular destination for boaters<br />
<strong>and</strong> sightseers. Saturday, May 12 -Sunday,<br />
September 3, $6 per vehicle daily parking ($8<br />
for non-residents, residency is determined<br />
by car registration) when a gate attendant is<br />
on duty; boat trailer season passes may be<br />
purchased for $30. Gate attendant on duty<br />
weekdays 7:30A -9:00P.<br />
skate Park<br />
Plans for the construction of a replacement<br />
skatepark are underway <strong>and</strong> included<br />
as a component of the Waterfront North<br />
Redevelopment, currently in development.<br />

for status updates on the use of the current<br />
facility.<br />
North Beach<br />
North Beach is located at the end of Institute<br />
Road off North Avenue, just past <strong>Burlington</strong><br />
High School <strong>and</strong> right off the <strong>Burlington</strong><br />
Bikepath. Saturday, May 12 -Monday, Sept 3:<br />
$6 per vehicle daily parking ($8 for nonresidents,<br />
residency is determined by car registration)<br />
between 9:30A <strong>and</strong> 8P. Lifeguard coverage<br />
June 16 -August 19 <strong>and</strong> weekends until Labor<br />
Day depending on the weather. There is a<br />
playground located at the north end of the park,<br />
adjacent to the beach. The picnic shelter is also<br />
available for reservation for private <strong>and</strong> group<br />
functions. No amplified music allowed, $225 full<br />
day 9A-9P or $160 half day 9A-3P or 3P-9P.<br />

Ethan Allen Park<br />
Located at the intersection of North Avenue<br />
<strong>and</strong> Ethan Allen Parkway, this wooded, hillside<br />
park offers a playground, paved walking/<br />
biking/hiking trails, scenic views from both the<br />
Pinnacle <strong>and</strong> the Ethan Allen Tower. A bridge<br />
across Rte. 127 connects the park to the bike<br />
path leading to the Ethan Allen Homestead <strong>and</strong><br />
the Intervale. The Ethan Allen Tower is open<br />
on weekends from Mother’s Day to Memorial<br />
Day, from 9:00A through sunset, from Memorial<br />
Day to Labor Day it is all days of the week from<br />
9:00A to sunset; from Labor Day to Columbus<br />
Day it is open Saturdays <strong>and</strong> Sundays until<br />
sunset. (Tower may be closed due to inclement<br />
weather).<br />
