2012 Bocce schedule
Meeting of the Burlington
Bocce Club (BBC)
Wednesday, May 2 | 7:00P – 9:00P
All are welcome to come and discuss the
coming bocce season: tournaments and
leagues, rule changes, court improvements
and more. The meeting will be held in the Pine
Street offices of the Department of Parks and
Recreation. Refreshments will be provided.
Ladder tournament starts
Friday, June 1
Join for summer long singles competition.
Contact Zander Ponzo (zponzo@uvm.edu, 324-
1284.) for more information about the ladder
and how to register. The fee for the season
and championship tournament is $10 for BBC
members and $20 for non-BBC members.
team rosters submitted
Friday, June 1
We will have at least one doubles league,
and each team can have up to four players.
Rosters must be submitted to Zander by this
date. League rules and specifications will be
distributed during early June and a schedule
made and distributed to players. League play
will start in the middle of June. If you do not
have a team, just submit your name to Zander.
To promote competition, the league/s may be
handicapped. For more information contact
Zander. The fee is $15 per person for BBC
members and $20 per person for nonmembers.
orientation and instruction
Sunday, June 10 | 1:00P
Information will be provided about the courts,
leagues and tournaments. Basic instruction
will be provided for those who want it, and a
skills contest will be held to help determine fair
handicaps for league play. Handicaps will be
based on skills contest and past performance
in bocce on BBC’s courts. Participants who do
not have a team will be assigned to one.

(June 18 is the rainout back-up date) The fee
for the tournament is $7.00 per person for
currently registered BBC members, and $14.00
per person for non-BBC members. Registration
for the tournament closes Saturday, June 17 at
8:45am. Depending on the number of entrants,
the tournament will either be double elimination
or round robin. For registration and more

(July 8 is the rainout back-up date) The fee for
the tournament is $7.00 per person for currently
registered BBC members, and $14.00 per
person for non-BBC members. Registration

the tournament will either be double elimination

Vermont senior Games
Saturday, August 11 | 9:00A
Sunday, August 12 | 9:00A
Singles will be held on Saturday, while doubles
are on Sunday. Fees and tournament structure
for these games have not yet been set. To
a large extent, the number of entrants will
determine them. In case of a rainout, the
competition will be held on the following
