Ages 5 – 15. This fun program focuses on the<br />

importance of community building <strong>and</strong> team<br />

spirit. Participants will learn chants, cheers, arm<br />

motions, dance <strong>and</strong> basic tumbling. We will<br />

play games to help with gross motor <strong>and</strong> body<br />

awareness, <strong>and</strong> learn about 8 counts. Everyone<br />

will have a chance to work in a group to make<br />

up a cheer. We will be performing at Kids Day!<br />

Come join this truly unique program! Participants<br />

need plain black bike shorts (rolled up leggings),<br />

sneakers, white socks, hair tie <strong>and</strong> water bottle.<br />

Everyone will receive a cool t-shirt to keep.<br />

Release forms must be completed before<br />

children can be a part of the program. Instructor:<br />

kids Fishing Camp<br />

Ages 9-12. This camp will give kids an<br />

introduction to fishing using a spin rod <strong>and</strong> reel<br />

<strong>and</strong> a fly rod <strong>and</strong> reel. In this camp kids will<br />

learn about casting , fly tying, knot tying, gear<br />

<strong>and</strong> bugs. Trips will include visits to a local fish<br />

hatchery, visits to local streams, ponds, <strong>and</strong><br />

rivers for fishing, <strong>and</strong> other destinations. The<br />

class will be taught by two of our <strong>Recreation</strong><br />

Specialists who have many years of experience<br />

with fly fishing along with over 25 years of<br />

experience working with children. Equipment will<br />

be provided. Participants bring their own snacks<br />

<strong>and</strong> lunches. Register by Monday, July 9.<br />

children with a foundation for teaching <strong>and</strong><br />

encouraging others how to maintain healthy<br />

relationships, proper treatment, as well as<br />

respect for the animal world. Children will learn<br />

about a variety of different animals through field<br />

trips <strong>and</strong> visits from specialists. Participants<br />

provide their own lunches <strong>and</strong> snacks. This<br />

program includes daily recreational activities<br />

also. Register by Monday Aug. 6 for session 1.<br />

Ages 9 - 13. Future bakers <strong>and</strong> chefs, this<br />

camp is for you!! Join us for a week of baking,<br />

preparing dishes from around the world, <strong>and</strong><br />

making yummy treats for you <strong>and</strong> your family!<br />

Our afternoons will be spent visiting a beach,<br />

playing games, <strong>and</strong> having fun outside. Two of<br />

the days, our group will be going off site on a<br />

field trip to King Arthur’s Bakery <strong>and</strong> Educational<br />

Center, local restaurants, ethnic markets, local<br />

gardens, bakeries <strong>and</strong> cheese makers. Register<br />

Ages 9 - 12. Come explore Vermont’s History<br />

<strong>and</strong> Legends with days filled with exploring<br />

the haunts of <strong>Burlington</strong> with the renowned<br />

Ghost Lady of <strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>and</strong> exploring myths<br />

<strong>and</strong> legends around Vermont. The myth of<br />

the unusual tomb of Dr. Timothy Clark Smith<br />

which includes a window to help him escape<br />

in case he was buried alive. We will explore the<br />

Civil War Period, Underground Railroad period,<br />

Fort Ticonderoga , the Fort at Crown Point<br />

<strong>and</strong> historical adventures around <strong>Burlington</strong>’s<br />

neighborhoods. Register by Monday, July 23rd.<br />

with these outdoor adventures which will include<br />

hiking, bouldering, mountain biking, swimming,<br />

fly fishing <strong>and</strong> other exciting adventures. Register<br />

for all sessions two weeks prior to each session.<br />

with colorful props <strong>and</strong> more! The focus will<br />

be on visual tracking, h<strong>and</strong>-eye coordination<br />

<strong>and</strong> gross motor skills, using fun games in<br />

conjunction with the Wilson Co. <strong>and</strong> the USTA<br />

Quickstart <strong>Program</strong>. Parents <strong>and</strong> caregivers<br />

are encouraged to join in! Release form must<br />

be completed for children to be involved in the<br />

program. We can mix ages if this works better<br />
