The Princess of Polo Plays at Prestonwood by Jodie Linton-Prickett Sunny Hale will be visiting Prestonwood Polo and Country Club October 1-3. During her visit she will be playing in the Women’s Championship Tournament, available for a meet and greet at the Calcutta Gala and holding a polo clinic along with answering your questions at a Q&A. The WCT will kick off with the Calcutta Gala on October 1, at 7:00 pm at the original Prestonwood Country Club located at 15909 Prestonwood, in Dallas. This event offers the public a chance to meet the WCT players. There will also be a fashion show by Dallas designer Abi Ferrin, a silent auction and a live painting by Cuban American Artist Rolando Diaz. Park Cities Dermatology will also be giving away products to the WCT participants. Tickets to this fabulous event are $75.00 per person. Sunny is an international player who has played in France, England, Jamaica, Switzerland, Singapore and Argentina. She is the highest ranking polo player in the United States and has achieved a five goal rating, which is the highest rating ever given to a woman. Hale is the first woman to ever be on a winning team of the US Open which would be equivalent to being a player on a baseball team when it won the World Series. She is one of the most photographed polo players who has graced the cover of several industry magazines and has filled pages of polo and sporting magazines, even the heavy hitter Sports Illustrated. Dena is the President of the Ladies Polo Auxiliary of Texas. Dena has arranged for Sunny to share her incredible knowledge of the sport at a Polo Clinic with horseback instruction and Q&A. To attend the full clinic on October 3, 9-10:30 on horseback and 11:00-noon Q and A, the tickets are $150.00 per person. You can also attend just the Q&A for $75.00 per person.
