Page 10 SO UN DI NG S Ingredients: 6 medium potatoes, peeled 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese Hasselback Potatoes Shared by: Kevin Buffum, PTSI Preparation 1) Preheat oven to 400. Slice each potato crosswise at 1/8 inch intervals, cutting to 1/4 inch from the bottom. Be careful not to cut all the way through. 2) Arrange potatoes in a buttered roasting pan. Drizzle 2 tablespoons melted butter evenly over potatoes, and sprinkle with salt. 3) Bake potatoes at 425 for 25 minutes. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over potatoes, drizzle with remaining melted butter, an bake 25 more minutes. 4) Sprinkle cheese over potatoes, baste with butter in pan, and bake 5 more minutes until potatoes are golden. Yields: 6 Hasselback potatoes are the Swedish version of baked potatoes, with a wonderful seasoned crispy crust which goes well with roasted meats and grilled fish. He has been working on various tug boats here in the Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbor and is currently the Captain on the Tug John Quigg. Scott has helped with filling in open shifts and working extra to keep the business flowing. He is a valued and exemplary employee. For his dedication, Millennium Maritime Management recognizes Scott as Employee of the month. Westoil Marine Services Abril ―Ray‖ Palomarez, Port Maintenance Since June of 2008, Abril, ―Ray‖, has been working with the Maintenance Department as the Westoil Painter. He comes in daily with his enthused attitude, and continues to take pride with keeping the vessels properly maintained. He has always helped out with various projects and shows that he can do more. Ray is a ―company man‖ true and true. Westoil Management is pleased to have Ray as Employee of the Month. Olympic Tug & Barge Guy Larsen, Engineer Guy is Olympic Tug & Barge‘s employee of the month. He has been a go to guy for the company since his start in December 2003. Guy has worked in both the shop and on the vessels as an engineer. Earlier this month, Guy was called out after midnight to repair the Alyssa Ann by changing a cracked cylinder head in order to get them underway by 0600. He was capable of completing the task in a short notice without complaints. Guy‘s efforts and hard work deserves recognition. Thank you Guy and congratulations.
