<strong>The</strong> <strong>Breeding</strong> & <strong>Registration</strong> <strong>Commission</strong><br />
Proposals to the FIFe General Assembly 2009<br />
2. Eligibility and Membership requirements<br />
1. a member must have a FIFe registered cattery name.<br />
2. a member must be at least 18 years old and must be a member in good standing, for at least 5<br />
calendar years, of a National FIFe mMember.<br />
3. a member must have bred and registered with a National FIFe mMember at least 3 litters of the<br />
appropriate breed within the previous 5 calendar years.<br />
4. a member must either have:<br />
bred at least one Grand Int. Champion or Grand Int. Premier of the appropriate breed<br />
or<br />
A member must have exhibited a cat of the appropriate breed owned by him/herself at FIFe<br />
shows at least 3 times per year within the previous 3 calendar years.<br />
A National FIFe Member may grant exceptions regarding the requirements 3 or 4 for<br />
membership of a Breed Council on a motivated application from the breeder.<br />
FIFe judges qualified for the relevant breed are eligible for membership without any condition.<br />
Membership by eligible individuals in any breed may be obtained by submitting to the General<br />
Secretary a completed membership application to the National FIFe Member. form and paying the<br />
appropriate fee(s) to FIFe's treasurer.<br />
This application must be certified by the National FIFe mMember.<br />
Membership applications for any given year will not be accepted after August 1 of that year.<br />
Upon receipt of the membership application and fee(s), the General Secretary Breed Council<br />
Coordinator will place the member’s name on the membership list.<br />
A membership runs from January 1 to December 31.<br />
Membership in more than one Breed Council is permitted.<br />
6 3. Fees<br />
<strong>The</strong> annual registration fee (January 1 to December 31) shall be set up by the General Assembly to<br />
help to cover expenses for the operation of the Breed Councils.<br />
<strong>The</strong> General Assembly shall set an annual registration fee.<br />
For inclusion in the official Breed Council members list, Breed Council members are required<br />
to pay the annual fee, which is listed in Annex 1 of the General Rules.<br />
4. <strong>The</strong> National FIFe Member’s Responsibility<br />
<strong>The</strong> National FIFe Member is responsible for:<br />
forwarding applications to the Breed Council Coordinator<br />
submitting the fees of its Breed Council members to the FIFe Treasurer by the 31<br />
March each year<br />
certifying each year that Breed Council membership requirements 1, 2 and 3 in article<br />
2 are fulfilled.<br />
If a Breed Council member’s membership in a FIFe organisation ceases during the year or<br />
his cattery name in the Book of Cattery Names of FIFe is deleted, the National FIFe Member<br />
must inform the Breed Council Coordinator. <strong>The</strong> Breed Council member will be deleted from<br />
the Breed Council membership list.
