HOTEL PLANNING
Hotel reservations must be accomplished online. Links to the designated convention hotels are on the California State PTA website
(www.capta.org). Click on the CONVENTION REGISTRATION button to access the hotel links. Each official convention hotel has
set up a special reservation section for California State PTA convention attendees.
The Westin Hotel has been selected as a convention hotel, and is located within walking distance of the convention center. The official
headquarters for the California State PTA 112 th Annual Convention is the Hyatt-Regency Hotel. It is located next to the Long Beach
Convention Center. Staying at one of these two designated hotels will help the California State PTA meet its contractual obligations
for this and future conventions.

Included with this reservation:
Complimentary Internet in the guestroom rate;
discounted parking of one overnight discounted self
parking pass of $5 per reservation, per night. Additional
vehicle parking rate at $15 for self parking or
$19 for valet parking.
Cancellation policy:
72 hours notice must be given to cancel a reservation.
Make note of the cancellation number or you may be
charged for one night (room plus tax). Name changes
to rooms must be accomplished 10 days prior to arrival
at no additional charge, and provided there is no
change to the arrival and departure dates. An early departure
fee of $50 will be charged to the guest account.

What you need to know:
Housing reservations open as of February 2.
The group reservation rate is available online until April 6.
After April 6, reservations must be made directly with the hotels
and may be at a higher rate.
Have a credit card available to reserve your room.
Payment will be made directly to the hotel of choice, at the end of
your hotel stay.
Expect the hotel to require payment by credit card or cash, only.

Cancellation policy:
Advance deposits or credit card guarantees will be
refundable if the reservation is cancelled 72 hours
prior to arrival. If cancellation occurs within 72
hours, an amount equal to one night’s room and
tax will be charged to guaranteed credit card or the
deposit will be non-refundable.
FAQ’s
Do I have to make reservations online or can I call the hotel directly?
Registering online is the preferred method. However, a specially designated
phone number will be viewable once you access the hotel link on
the www.capta.org website. You may then, contact the hotel directly.
I don’t have Internet access. How can I register for housing?
You will need to work with someone who does have Internet access to
obtain the specially designated phone number for the hotels. Once you
have this phone number, you can contact the hotels directly.
I don’t have a credit card – will you take a cashier’s check?
Unfortunately, not for housing.
What if I have roommates? How do we indicate whom we want to room
with?
Designate one of the roommates to reserve the room, and indicate the
number of individuals staying on the sign up page. Upon arrival at the
hotel, you will need to identify each guest who will be sharing the room.
