Minority Parents’ Forum
The dates for the Minority Parents’ Forum meetings for 2008/09

The aim of the group is to involve all members of the school
community in the life of the school. Parents organise food sales at
the school community events and help with the PSA Summer Fair.
In recent years the group has contributed towards the costs of
replacing the school minibus and piano. They make regular
contributions to the Library to buy books with a multicultural
theme. The forum has also organised a trip to see the Divali Lights
in Leicester. If you have new ideas and would like to be involved
with this group then please make a note of the dates in your diary.
The meetings are arranged for the second week of each half term.
They start at 6:30pm and last for about thirty minutes. If you
would like to meet other parents and can spare about an hour each
term, you are very welcome to come along.

Community Play On Diabetes
Derby City Primary Care Trust, in partnership with Surtal Asian
Arts, are performing a play at Littleover Community School
regarding diabetes. It is a unique and exciting bi-lingual
performance that will amuse and inform you.
It is taking place on Friday September 12th, 2008 from 6.30pm
to 8.30pm. It is a free event (see poster on next page) and
