TEAM RAISE OVER £4,000
FOR CANCER RESEARCH
Once again, Littleover Midnight Runners braved the elements
to participate in the
RELAY FOR LIFE
which was held at Moorways Stadium
over the weekend of 5 th /6 th July.
The Team consists of members of staff, family & friends, who have been
fundraising throughout the year, culminating in the 24hr relay at Moorways.
They have held cake sales, tombolas, raffles & had generous
sponsorship which helped them raise £4,200 for Cancer Research UK.
The weekend had mixed weather, from sunny & warm, to raining and
very wet; however spirits weren’t dampened, and the team completed
the task of keeping on track the whole 24 hours.
The whole weekend raised £40,000 for Cancer Research and organisers say they
are already planning next year’s event.
The Team would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way, and are
very grateful for the continued support of all friends at LCS, who helped in
various ways to swell the funds, and make money for such a worthwhile cause.
