t>ON THE TOWN<br />
The Scoreboard Lounge:<br />
The Scoreboard. located at the Unversily Inn<br />
Best Western, attracts not only students, but also<br />
unmarried community people. Patrons deck out<br />
for a night <strong>of</strong> dancing, drinking and meeting<br />
attractive members 01 the opposite sex.<br />
For those students who like 10 relax in a more<br />
intellectual setting, several places are waiting to<br />
be discovered.<br />
Ca/eLibre:<br />
Moscow's first c<strong>of</strong>feehouse, the Cafe features a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> international beers, c<strong>of</strong>fees and treats.<br />
Occasionally local folk singers, like Dan Maher,<br />
recreate the past with their own lyrics or through<br />
a ballad written by another singing poet.<br />
Community or visiting poets <strong>of</strong>ten read or<br />
perform for a diverse crowd. The Cafe attracts<br />
foreign beer and calfee drinkers who enjoy art,<br />
whether it's visual, audio or written.<br />
The Garden Lounge:<br />
Catering to the intellectual, the Garden's<br />
patrons are usually liberal or fine arts majors,<br />
graduate, law or WAMI students, pr<strong>of</strong>essors or<br />
local townspeople who like to argue theory.<br />
Thursdays through Saturdays, jazz musicians<br />
entertain jazz enthusiasts.<br />
Pelouse Pub and Grill:<br />
Formally the Moscow Mule, this bar and<br />
restaurant <strong>of</strong>fers a variety <strong>of</strong> dinner and drink<br />
specials. Students from both WSU and <strong>Idaho</strong><br />
come 10 the Pub with a date. Usually, a couple<br />
eats dinner and sips on wine in the serene front<br />
section 01 the restaurant. Occasionally, the bar<br />
features a local folk singer. In the back section <strong>of</strong><br />
the restaurant is another, much louder bar. Here<br />
students mingle with local businessmen.<br />
Stud~nts who seek lively bars where the beer is<br />
always flOWing also have a wide selection.<br />
The Corner Club:<br />
Popular with Moscow's senior citizens during<br />
the day and <strong>Idaho</strong> students at night, the Club,<br />
one <strong>of</strong> Moscow's oldest bars, proves to be an<br />
interesting study in human behavior. And, even<br />
though this bar's bathrooms deserve the "Skunk.<br />
Award," the Club is one <strong>of</strong> the most popular bars;<br />
in this town. Why? Well, it's famous lor cheap<br />
