Socialization and employment
for the children without parenting
A
fter three years of
implementation Fund for the
future program for professional
orientation, in June third generation of
scholars has graduated. At the press
conference held in Children village “Dr
Milorad Pavlovič” in Sremska Kamenica,
Fund for the future was publicly presented,
as well as achieved results and plans for
the upcoming period.
„At the beginning of the program in 2006,
we had 30 scholars from four foster homes
in Belgrade. Today we have 60 scholarship
holders, which include children from foetr
home in Sremska Mitrovica, Nis and 14
children from foster families from city of
Subotica. Since the beginning of the
program, 120 children went through Fund
for the future.
In our company, twelve people are
admitted in permanent employment, ten
are employed in other branches, while 30
attendants of the program continued
education“, said Bojana Ristic, CSR
Manager of Delta Holding.
Fund for the future represents unique
program which cares about children
without parental custody. Beside regular
scholarships, emphasize has been put

onto socialization of children, their
education for various jobs, as well as real
life situations. Scholars of the Fund may
get the job after graduation of appropriate
education within Delta’s business system,
thus it will solve one of the most delicate
problems consolidating children without
parenting, and that is the moment when
they graduate secondary education and
must leave the foster homes or foster
families.
„In Delta’s project Fund for the future we
participate since 2006. This is, generally,
unique project whose most important part
is employment program thus it makes it
recognizable and represents unique
motivation for the future generations to
attend“, said Vidoje Radulovic, deputy
manager of Children village „Dr Milorad
Pavlovic“.
Besides regular lectures in professional
training, scholarship holders had more
than twenty visits inside the Delta Holding
system, where they got information about
that working place. For scholars, three
summer camps were organized at the
seaside in Bulgaria and Greece.
Best confirmation of the validity and
success of program have been received by
those who were dedicated to – scholars of
Children village in Sremska Kamenica.

two years. For that time, I achieved better
results in school and got scholarships,
summer vacations and, as the most
important, I emphasize employment
training, where we got all necessary

According to the words of Ph D Marija Mitic from Association for alternative

parenting: „Considering the fact that we do not have systematic solution, this
project is important and welcome, since it motivates responsibility, develops
proactive approach at the attendants and enables better quality of life. This is
the best example to other companies thus it is important for the project to
continue“.

Recorded increase of the success of
scholars in relation to the period before
entering program of the Fund for the
future is 80%, while presence of scholars at
lectures is between 75% and 80%. At the
end of the training, scholars were provided
with the certificate, as well as
recommendations and opinions of
lecturers.
