I was fascinated by Science at
school and could see myself
as a forensic scientist, so
when the BCUTC first opened
I couldn’t wait to apply.
Engineering was a new concept to me,
as at school you only do a small amount
of technology, but I’ve learnt so much
and find it really interesting and relevant
to everyday life.
Everyone is very friendly and I’ve
made so many new friends since
coming here. Students are treated
equally and girls are encouraged just as
much as boys.
Studying Science and Engineering
opens up so many career options. It’s
such a big industry and the type of roles
you could go into are diverse. I want to
go to university and use my skills in
Biomedical engineering doing
research work.
I would encourage anyone who has an
interest in Science or Engineering to
come to the BCUTC. You get so many
