innovative educational concept which is

designers of the future.
The UTC is positioned right in the heart of
the Black Country, the birthplace of
engineering, and is helping our young
people to meet the needs of employers in
the West Midlands and make a positive
contribution to society.

The Black Country UTC is an extremely
exciting opportunity for young people in
the Black Country and surrounding area.
The Black Country UTC has achieved
some fantastic results since opening in
September 2011 and we are immensely
proud of all of the students.
The grades, Apprenticeships and jobs
already achieved clearly show that a high
quality technical college offering a
speciality in engineering and science can
deliver significant benefits for students in
our region. It is also benefitting employers
and helping to fill the skills gap as an
increasing number of students leave
college with the skills and experience
which make them work-ready.

The University of Wolverhampton is

Teacher Education which brings our

We provide access to professors,
researchers, leading lectures and, of
course, equipment and kit. All of this
contributes to a unique, world-class
learning experience whilst also preparing
students to progress into the workplace
or Higher Education.
As part of our commitment to the UTC, we
