Place the rebar 15” to 18” on center. Determine
the distance by spacing the rebar
evenly between the post. In general the horizontal
rebar is placed first, but the first layer
of rebar can be either the verticals or horizontals.
The forms are up with the vertical rebar in
place. Note the single 2” x 4” brace on
the near side of the form so there is a minimal
amount of obstruction for the shotcreter.
Once the horizontal rebar is in place the concrete
spraying can commence.
The rebar should be evenly spaced but not
to exceed 18 inches apart, and come up to
two inches from the top of the fence and two
inches from the bottom of the fence.
