The Legacy <strong>of</strong> Joseph Eichler” is a 45-m<strong>in</strong>ute film dedicated to the Bay Area <strong>and</strong> its Eichler communities, founded on the<br />
pr<strong>in</strong>ciples <strong>of</strong> equality, <strong>in</strong>novation, simplicity <strong>and</strong> the American Dream.<br />
Monique Lombardelli, a realtor <strong>and</strong> Eichler specialist, produced this film start<strong>in</strong>g from scratch <strong>and</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g her way up. The<br />
stories tell <strong>of</strong> many different people with the same bond–-The Eichler Home. “People <strong>in</strong> Glass Houses” celebrates the spirit<br />

Lucas Valley Home Owners dues<br />
are $160 per quarter <strong>and</strong> this amount<br />
is due <strong>and</strong> payable on the follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />
dates: January 1, April 1, July 1 <strong>and</strong><br />
October 1.<br />
Statements will be sent to home<br />
owners on these dates. You may choose<br />
email bill<strong>in</strong>g by email<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>of</strong>fice at<br />
bus<strong>in</strong>essmanager@lvha.org.<br />
The use <strong>of</strong> the pool, tennis courts,<br />
<strong>and</strong> television channels 2 -13 are <strong>in</strong>cluded<br />
<strong>in</strong> the dues.<br />
Non payment <strong>of</strong> dues will result <strong>in</strong><br />
the follow<strong>in</strong>g actions: If dues are not<br />
paid with<strong>in</strong> 30 days <strong>of</strong> the due date a late<br />
fee <strong>of</strong> $15 per quarter will be added to<br />
the <strong>in</strong>voiced amount. If not paid with<strong>in</strong><br />
60 days <strong>of</strong> the due date TV service to<br />
the residence will be term<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>and</strong><br />
use <strong>of</strong> the pool or tennis courts will not<br />
be permitted. If not paid with<strong>in</strong> 90 days<br />
<strong>of</strong> the due date, the LVHA Board may<br />
place a lien on the property.<br />
TV Reception Problems<br />
Lucas Valley Home Owners Association<br />

to provide television channels 2 -13 to<br />
all residents. If you have problems with<br />
these channels, call Lucas Valley Cable<br />
at 259-5856 for service.<br />
Returned Checks<br />

The Lucas Valley Homeowners<br />

Joseph Eichler (1900–1974) was<br />

mid-century modern style tract hous<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>in</strong> California. He was a social visionary<br />
<strong>and</strong> commissioned designs by lead<strong>in</strong>g<br />
architects, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Anshen & Allen,<br />
Claude Oakl<strong>and</strong>, Jones & Eammons,<br />
Qu<strong>in</strong>cy Jones, <strong>and</strong> Raphael Soriano,<br />
primarily for middle-class Americans.<br />
He was one <strong>of</strong> the <strong>in</strong>fluential advocates<br />
<strong>of</strong> br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g modern architecture from<br />
