Doors opened at 6:00 and each<br />

couple signed in and received a number<br />

to know what time <strong>the</strong>ir pictures would<br />

be taken. The <strong>the</strong>me was “<strong>Until</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>End</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Time</strong>,” with <strong>the</strong> song by Justin<br />

Timberlake. The ballroom was filled<br />

with blue and silver decorations along<br />

with many clocks and each dinner table<br />

had a beautiful vase <strong>of</strong> roses on it.<br />

Dinner was served at 7:15 and everyone<br />

seemed to enjoy <strong>the</strong> variety <strong>of</strong> tasty food:<br />

two types <strong>of</strong> meat, salad, many<br />

Former Gile’s student Amber Martin with her vegetables, and various desserts. After a<br />

date Michael Atkins and Wes Conley with his delicious meal, everyone moved towards<br />

date.<br />

<strong>the</strong> dance floor. After dancing for a few<br />

hours, Principal Greg Brown asked <strong>the</strong><br />

teenagers to take a seat to recognize <strong>the</strong> seniors. Then <strong>the</strong> prom court was finally announced.<br />

Juniors Jarrod Alls and Gelsina<br />

Ceritano won prince and princess while<br />

Seniors Ben Mullins and Astleigh Hobbs<br />

received <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> king and queen. “The<br />

entire night was awesome and it made my<br />

junior prom to get princess,” quoted<br />

Gelsina. After <strong>the</strong> court and <strong>the</strong>ir dates<br />

shared a dance, everyone else joined in<br />

until shortly later <strong>the</strong> dance come to an<br />

end. As students walked out <strong>the</strong>y were<br />

given mugs and glasses and <strong>the</strong> star <strong>the</strong><br />

couple’s names were on.<br />

Students <strong>the</strong>n traveled back to <strong>the</strong><br />

Pearisburg Community Center (K.J.) for a<br />

“morning” <strong>of</strong> fun and games. Some<br />

activities included ping-pong, playing <strong>the</strong><br />

Wii and Guitar Hero, bouncing on blow up<br />

games, cards, rock climbing, air brushed<br />

Anderson, and Senior Dru Kerr relax after<br />

dancing.<br />

tattoos and singing karaoke. The <strong>the</strong>me <strong>of</strong> After <strong>Prom</strong> was college tailgating so <strong>the</strong>re was a lot <strong>of</strong><br />

wonderful food and <strong>the</strong> halls were decorated with different college logos. Finally at around 5<br />

A.M., <strong>the</strong> big prizes were given away and students traveled back home. <strong>Prom</strong> was over but <strong>the</strong><br />

experience and memories will never be forgotten.<br />
