On Sunday, <strong>the</strong> group<br />
traveled to central park to walk around and see a different side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> city.<br />
The Choral Ensemble at <strong>the</strong> “Festivals <strong>of</strong> Music” They had <strong>the</strong> opportunity to see places such as Strawberry Fields, Central<br />
competition in Newark, New Jersey.<br />
Park Zoo, Belvedere Castle, Shakespeare’s Garden, and countless bridges and<br />
tunnels. The Chorale spent most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> morning <strong>the</strong>re;<br />
afterwards <strong>the</strong>y enjoyed ano<strong>the</strong>r experience unique to New<br />
York: <strong>the</strong>y attended a New York Mets game at Shae Stadium<br />
in Queens. Although <strong>the</strong> wea<strong>the</strong>r could’ve been better, many<br />
students enjoyed <strong>the</strong>ir first major league baseball game. After<br />
<strong>the</strong> game, <strong>the</strong>y drove around for a few hours to see Yankee<br />
Stadium and traveled to <strong>the</strong> South Side Pier again. Later, <strong>the</strong>y<br />
rode <strong>the</strong> Staten Island Ferry and witnessed <strong>the</strong> breathtaking<br />
Statue <strong>of</strong> Liberty at night. It was an amazing experience for<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir last night in <strong>the</strong> city.<br />
The next morning, students woke up bright and early for<br />
<strong>the</strong> long ride home. They boarded <strong>the</strong> bus around 8:00 and hit<br />
<strong>the</strong> road for Virginia. They arrived home exhausted and<br />
happy around 7:00pm after an amazing, once in a lifetime<br />
experience.<br />
The Chorale spent Sunday morning in beautiful Central Park.<br />
