Page 6 - 626/10/2001AutoLog 32 Instruction Manual6.4 Analog inputsThe AL 32AN board provides 2 register variables with screwdriver adjustment and0 - 6 individually adaptable analog inputs that can be used for the measurement oftemperature, current or voltage signals *). The AL 32EXA board provides 8 additionalindividually adaptable analog inputs. The number of available analog inputs isdefined according to adapter modules. Every measured signal / range needs its ownindividual adapter module (Look chapter 14. LIST OF PRODUCTS).6.4.1 Connection examplesBecause of the low signal levels to be measured, shielded twisted-pair cablesshould be used. The shield should be grounded at one end only in order to avoiddegradation of accuracy by external disturbances.Temperature measurement with a PT100 sensorThe current (I+ - I-) flows through the PT100 sensor. The measurement is made by inputs sign+ and sign-+-I+signsign+ThermistorKTY 10,11 or 15Temperature measurement with a KTY 10, 11 or 15thermistorGNDI-Voltage measurementTwo ranges are available: 0...5V or 0...10V.Current measurementTwo ranges are available: 0...20mA or 4...20mA.*) Exeption: Analog input 0. Jumpers J206, 606 and607 can be used to connect it as an analog input oroutput. If analog output 0 is in use, the remainingpins (connector J600) can only be used as a currentor voltage input.FF-Automation Oy
