Ibn Umar (RA) reported Allah's Messenger(Blessings and Peace be upon him) as saying: Itis the duty of a <strong>Muslim</strong> who has somethingwhich is to be given as a bequest not to have itfor two nights without having his will writtendown regarding it. <strong>Sahih</strong> <strong>Muslim</strong> <strong>Hadith</strong> # 3987147. Ibn Sa'd (RA) reported his father as saying:Allah's Apostle (Blessings and Peace be uponhim) visited me during my illness. I said: I amwilling away the whole of my property. He said:No. I said: <strong>The</strong>n half? He said: No. I said: ShouldI will away one-third? He said: Yes, and evenone-third is enough. <strong>Sahih</strong> <strong>Muslim</strong> <strong>Hadith</strong> #3996148. Abu Huraira (RA) reported that a person said toAllah's Apostle (Blessings and Peace be uponhim): My father died and left behind propertywithout making any will regarding it.
