Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported Allah's Messenger(Blessings and Peace be upon him) as saying:When any one of you intends to eat (meal), heshould eat with his right hand. and when he(intends) to drink he should drink with his righthand, for the Satan eats with his left hand anddrinks with his left hand. <strong>Sahih</strong> <strong>Muslim</strong> <strong>Hadith</strong># <strong>500</strong>8190. 'Umar bin Abu Salama (RA) reported: I wasunder the care of Allah's Messenger (waypeace be upon him), and as my hand used toroam about in the dish he said to me: Boy,mention the name of Allah, and eat with yourright hand and eat <strong>from</strong> what is near to you.<strong>Sahih</strong> <strong>Muslim</strong> <strong>Hadith</strong> # 5012191. Anas (RA) reported that Allah's Apostle(Blessings and Peace be upon him) forbade thata person should drink while standing. Qatadareported: We said to him: What about eating?<strong>The</strong>reupon he (Anas) said: That is even worseand more detestable (abominable). <strong>Sahih</strong><strong>Muslim</strong> <strong>Hadith</strong> # 5018192.
