Name of work:-Attending to faults and overhauling of 125KVA Trolley mounted EA set(Kirloskar) @ Madhavaram TE Bldg, Chennai.Procedure for submission of tenders downloaded through website.The firm who quotes on the tender document downloaded from website shall strictlyfollow the following procedure.1) The Tender shall be submitted in Two envelopes.i) First envelope shall contain tender application (if tender downloadedfrom WEB) tender fee, attested document proving fulfillment of eligibilitycriteria as per the tender notice and EMD in proper form. The earnestmoney deposited in the shape of DemandDraft/PayOrder of aScheduled Bank or Nationalised Bank/State Bank guaranteed by ReserveBank of India drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, BSNL Electrical Division,Chennai payable at Chennai , and the credentials of the firm in the firstcover shall be attested by a Gazetted officer or by a BSNL Executive. Incases where it is not possible to obtain the attestation of Gazetted officeror BSNL Executive, then the agency shall submit the same with selfattestation and shall furnish all the originals at the time of tender opening,failing which his second envelope containing the tender document shallnot be opened. Two Separate Demand Drafts, One for Tender cost andthe other for EMD should be attachedii)Second Envelope shall contain duly filled tender document2) The First envelope containing tender fee, attested document proving fulfillment ofeligibility criteria and EMD in proper form shall be opened first.In case :-i) Tender cost is not submitted in proper formii)iii)EMD is not in proper formFirm fails to fulfill eligibility criteria on the basis of document submitted inthe first envelope.the Second envelope shall not be opened.Important Note: The Envelopes shall be clearly super scribed on top asFIRST ENVELOPE- TENDER COST/ EMD/ CREDENTIALSSECOND ENVELOPE - TENDER DOCUMENTContractor Internet Downloaded copy Executive Engineer (E)Page 4 of 38
Name of work:-Attending to faults and overhauling of 125KVA Trolley mounted EA set(Kirloskar) @ Madhavaram TE Bldg, Chennai.IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERERS DOWNLOADING THE TENDER DOCUMENT FROMWEB SITEThe Tenderers, who have down loaded the tenders from the web site, shall read thefollowing important instructions carefully before quoting the rates and submitting thetender documents:-1. The tenderer should see carefully and ensure that the tender document containingall the pages as per the index has been down loaded for making required entries. Thebalance pages of Standard BSNL EW 8 forms will be attached with the agreement after theaward of work. The entire BSNL EW 8 clauses are available in the web sitewww.chennai.bsnl.co.in in the electrical tenders section for ready reference and thecontractor shall read the same and keep themselves aware of the said Clauses.2. A clear print out of tender document shall be taken on good quality A4 size paperand the printer settings, etc., shall be such that the document is printed as appearing in theweb and without any change in format, number of pages, etc., and shall also ensure thatno page is missing. Only original computer print out of the document shall be used.Photocopy shall not be accepted.3. In case of any doubt in the downloaded tender, the same shall be got clarified fromthe Engineer in charge calling the NIT before submission of tenders.4. The name of the tenderer shall be filled on the relevant pages of BSNL EW 6 form etc.,and all the pages shall be invariably signed and seal affixed.5. The tenderer shall ensure that the downloaded tender document is properly stitchedand sealed with sealing wax before submitting the document. Loose / spiral bound tendersshall not be accepted. Sealing of the tenders with adhesive tapes is not acceptable andthe tenders are liable to be summarily rejected.6. There shall be no correction / addition / alteration / omission made in the text of thedownloaded tender document. If found otherwise, the same shall be treated as nonresponsiveand summarily rejected.7.
